jeff's bio

Jeff Goulart has been playing percussion for over 20 years. He has studied hand drumming with master percussionist Roberto Aries, and drum set with LA studio musician Dean Lopes. Jeff attended the Community College of Rhode Island as a Jazz Studies major and in 1993 was awarded the Bobby Hacket Memorial Jazz Scholarship.

Jeff has performed with original projects The Kind, Sunshine Smokey and the Rhythmn Juice and Planet Groove, as well as being a founding member of Brides of Jesus, based in New Orleans. He is currently grooving it up with "Boston's new voice in acoustic rock" The Adam Ezra Group. As a member of these groups he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such acts as The Dave Matthews Band, The Goo Goo Dolls, Maceo Parker, Widespread Panic, the Radiators and members of Phish and The Spin Doctors.

In his many recording projects, both with his own bands and those with independent artists, Jeff has worked with some of the best in the business including Allman Brothers producer Johnny Sandlin, the legendary bass player David Hood and the incomparable Muscle Shoals Horn Section.

Jeff is thrilled to add his energy, experience and musicianship to The Adam Ezra Group.
